A Krishi Vigyan Kendra earmarked for Lohit District, Arunachal Pradesh under the administration of NRC on Yak (ICAR), Dirang was inaugurated on 26th March, 2007 at Arunachal Pali Vidyapith, Chongkham. The inaugural function was held under the Chairmanship of Sri C.M. Namchoom, Working President, Tai Khampti Singpho Council in presence of Sri C. T. Mein, MLA, Chongkham and Wakro Constituency, Mr. R.K. Sharma, ADC, Namsai Subdivision, Sri T. Gangkak, C.O., Chongkham Circle and other public leaders, land donors, progressive farmers etc. On the occasion, speakers from different walks of life spoke on farmers' needs and appreciated Indian Council of Agricultural Research for realizing the constraints of the farming community by establishing a KVK for Lohit district which is enriched with natural biodiversity
